This unique piece is modelled on castle mountain in southern Alberta. This iconic mountain is now home to a ski resort and is a beloved landmark in the Rocky Mountains.  Looking at each barnboard art piece, the mind drifts to think of the weather and years that have crafted each mark and colour on the wood carefully selected to create each piece of art.  Sourcing and collecting aged barnboard off the Alberta prairies is a task we cherish, bringing the wood that has served these farms well to new use in order to highlight it's beauty. Wood may vary in colour, width and direction depending on what we have available, but we will use a variety of colours and textures of wood in each piece. These pieces are limited edition as they use a blue wood reclaimed from a 100+ year old homestead. This size is approximately 48”x20".
